Libertyville Wedding | Haley + Phil
Haley and Phil attended high school together. Phil was a participant in a male pageant at high school and Haley was a sound technician for the event. They crossed paths during the pageant rehearsal but didn’t realize it until much later. Haleyofficially met Phil when she started working with him at American eagle. Even though there was a natural attraction between the two, it wasn’t until about six months later that a mutual friend suggested they go on a date. The rest is history.
On the day of their wedding, during the hustle and bustle of getting ready, Haley found post-it notes. They were in her shoe box, with her jewelry, on a mirror that she was getting ready in front of. All of the post-its were from Phil with romantic notes scrawled on them. A beautiful gesture that I’m sure Haley will remember for years to come. During the ceremony at Adler, there were heartfelt vows and memories exchanged between Haley and Phil, along with a couple of tears and laughs. After the ceremony everyone stepped outside to get a photograph of all guests that were present during their intimate ceremony. Thankfully the steps on the terrace made my job easy getting everyone in the picture. The bridal party made a stop off at one of Illinois’s top sushi restaurants Shakou. The bride and groom lovingly treated their bridal party and all the people that helped make their day run smoothly to an assortment of beautiful sushi rolls and other various Asian dishes. It started to rain while we were at Shakou but the weather cleared up just in time for everyone to make their way to the reception at Mickey Finn’s. The rest of the night was filled with beautiful speeches, great food, Portillo’s cake, wonderful entertainment and tons of dancing. The dance floor was packed the entire night which showed how lively and fun all the guests were. It was a beautiful day and I couldn’t think of anyone better to have spent it with than Haley and Phil.
