Kenosha Public Museum Wedding | Amanda + Justin

I had the pleasure of knowing Amanda and Justin before they were even engaged. As soon as Justin popped the question, Amanda contacted me letting me know I was the only wedding photographer for her. To say I was honored would be an understatement. Shortly after I photographed their engagement session around downtown Kenosha right off of the Lake Michigan lakefront. You can see photos and read more about how Justin proposed to Amanda here. After their sunrise engagement session, we had breakfast at Mike’s Donuts & Chicken, where I convinced them to order the bacon praline donuts.

When I showed up to the Kenosha Public Museum to begin photographing Amanda getting ready, the familiar pink doughnut boxes were stacked in the center of the room on a table. This definitely made me reminisce about their engagement session morning and how good of sports they both were waking up so early and entrusting me to capture beautiful sunrise pictures for them.

Upon arriving there was excitement and a bit of anxiety in the air. As afternoon preparations subsided and everything started falling into place there was a quiet anticipation that could be felt all throughout the museum. When Amanda’s father saw her for the first time, he was overtaken with emotion and it was such a beautiful moment to witness. The long awaited ceremony began on the mezzanine overlooking Lake Michigan as the sun was about to set against a beautiful pink sky. Natural light was flooding everywhere as guests waited for Amanda to be walked down the aisle by her father. As Justin admired Amanda walking down the aisle towards him he turned around to compose himself while his groomsmen and I smiled to see such love and adoration exchanged between their glances at one another. I loved being able to capture their wedding day and can’t wait to see what is in store for these two.
