Today I want to introduce you all to Marta, a sweet and reserved class of 2015 senior at Tremper High School. We photographed at three of my favorite locations around Kenosha: Pets Park, Simmons Library and the beach front of Lake Michigan. This is more than my typical senior sessions, however this girl knew how to pose!
The day of Marta’s senior session, there was a possibility of rain throughout the day but all the clouds cleared up right before her session. The lighting was absolutely perfect for her session, we shot two hours before sunset giving us a beautiful soft warm light.
Starting out the session at Pets Park, Marta wore a cute plaid button down shirt. I think the rustic feel to her shirt paired perfectly with the nature surroundings of Pets. Isn’t she so stunning?!
The second outfit Marta wore was a beautiful floral skirt paired beautifully with a simple white tee. Marta also brought her clarinet to her session, can you believe she has been playing for 8 years?! She started on a plastic clarinet but then upgraded to a wooden clarinet a couple of years later. It always excites me when seniors bring props to their session because it personalizes the session and showcases what their interests are at that time in their lives. My only regret with this session, was not being able to hear her play!
The outfit Marta wore for the beach was a simple pair of distressed jean shorts with a white crochet top. Out of all the locations, I think the beach was my favorite. It was fun to capture some light and airy images at the end of summer. These beach senior pictures exude summer fun to me.
Her last outfit was a pink chiffon dress paired with cute black strappy wedges. I loved all of the outfits that Marta brought to the shoot. She chose them all on her own, all I did was choose which outfits were worn at each location. I would have to say though, my favorite was her pink chiffon dress that I think showcased her sweet personality perfectly.
Best of luck to Marta! I hope your senior year is amazing!
