High school sweethearts Daneen and Norman, before their wedding in Franklin, started dating in high school in Missouri. They now call Alaska home but traveled all the way to Wisconsin exactly ten years later to tie the knot on November 5th at The Hideaway Pub & Eatery. Logistically it would have been difficult planning a wedding halfway across the country so Daneen hired Andie from Timeless Events LLC. The day ran extremely smoothly thanks to Andie and we had many opportunities to take creative portraits which doesn’t usually happen on wedding days!
Since their wedding took place in November, Autumn decor filled the room bringing a cozy warmth to the Hideaway’s venue space. All the Fall colored place settings had little corked bottles of fireweed honey which is native to Daneen and Norman’s home state and gave a nice personalized touch to the wedding favors. There were about 30 guests in attendance which gave the ceremony and reception a wonderful intimate feel. I had the pleasure of being seated with Daneen and Norman’s parents during the reception and learned more about the newly wedded couple and all the fun family dynamics that I don’t get the opportunity to learn about at larger weddings.
The week before Daneen and Norman’s big day was very gloomy and rainy. Thankfully though, their big day was only overcast for a bit before the rain clouds cleared out for us to capture some beautiful dramatic bride and groom portraits at sunset. Daneen and Norman nailed their wedding photographs on their big day!
